PURPOSE:To obtain copies of high picture quality and to attain a high operating ratio by adopting a fixed value system, where the quantity of charging and the exposure are preliminarily set, and the variable value system, where the quantity of attenuation of the potential of a sensitive material is measured and the quantity of charging and the exposure are adjusted in accordance with the measured value, together while using effectively their merits. CONSTITUTION:Programs 31-33 are preliminarily inputted to a nonvolatile RAM 13 and are selected by a service engineer to control the quantity of charging and the exposure. In the program 31 for no-control mode, the quantity of charging and the exposure are registered on a table 13-1 as fixed values. With respect to the program 32 for control one mode, the exposure is registered on the table 13-1 as a fixed value but the quantity of charging calculated at each time in accordance with potential measured values of the sensitive material due to sensors 3 and 4 is registered on the table 13-1. With respect to the program 33 for control two mode, the quantity of charging and the exposure are calculated at each time in accordance with potential measured values of the sensitive material due to sensors 3 and 4 and are registered on the table 13-1, and the copying operation is performed with the voltage of a corotron and that of an exposure lamp as variable values. |
