PURPOSE:To enhance printing speed and prevent misregistration of colors from occurring, by providing a fixed printer, an ink ribbon driver for moving an ink ribbon in a skew direction at a fixed pitch, and a driver for an object to be printed by which the objected is moved perpendicularly to a center line of printing at a fixed pitch. CONSTITUTION:On receiving a movement designating signal from a synchronous controller 9, an ink ribbon controller 6 and a controller 3 for an object 1 to be printed control an ink ribbon driver 5 and a driver 2 for the object 1, respectively, so that an ink ribbon 4 and the object 1 are moved by respective amounts corresponding to one-time printing, and the controllers 6, 3 perform control according to a printing-designating signal to print by printing parts A, B, C of a printer 7. Printing information sent from an input controller 10 is converted into printing information for use at the printing parts A, B, C by a printing controller 8. In addition, under the control of the printing controller 8, the printing information for sue at the printing part B and that for use at the printing part C are sent to the printing parts B and C with such delays that they are printed in a superimposing manner when the part printed by the printing part A is brought to the position of the printing part B and the position of the printing part C, respectively. |
