PURPOSE:To secure a color phosphor screen of high definition, by setting up plural photo-detecting elements on a panel outer surface, while shifting a light source as opposed to a panel inner surface,and finding a position showing a maximum light receiving quantity in each of these elements. CONSTITUTION:Photo-absorptive layers 2 of the specified pattern are first formed in array on an inner surface of a panel 1. Then, phosphor slurry 3 dispersing, for example, a green phosphor is applied to the inner surface of the panel 1. Next, plural pieces of photo-detecting elements D1-D3 are set up on an outer surface of the panel 1. And, a light source unit 15 having an exposure source 5 is set up on the inner surface of the panel 1 so as to be opposed in holding the color selecting device 4 attached to this inner surface in between. And, the exposure source 5 is shifted, making it pass through the color selecting device 4 and the photo-absorptive layer 2 at the whole range of the panel 1. A position showing a maximum light receiving quantity at these photo-detecting elements D1-D3 is found in this way. With this constitution, a printing exposure source position of the phosphor is made so as to be accurately calculated so that a high definition color phosphor screen is securable.
