PURPOSE:To cut off external light securely and to prevent an image carrier such as a photosensitive body from being exposed to the external light by closing the opening of a process unit with a protection member easily and securely when the process unit is drawn out of a main device body. CONSTITUTION:When the process unit 2 is taken out of the main device body 1 for maintenance inspection, etc., a rotating member 10 is rotated as shown by an arrow and the protection member 11 is returned to an opening closure position with spring force, so that the unit is drawn out of the main body 1. Consequently, the photosensitive body 3 is not exposed to the external light through the opening 8a when the process unit 2 is taken out of the main body 1, and no internal toner overflows from the opening 8a during the movement of the process unit 2. |
