PURPOSE:To produce the titled material with efficiency higher than that of Nd, YAG laser representing the characteristics similar to those of Cr, Nd: GSGG by a method wherein neodymium ion and chrome ion are contained as an active ion while the main composition comprises rare earth element indiumgaliumgarnet crystal. CONSTITUTION:The laser oscillation efficiency can be improved by adopting neodymium ion and chrome ion contained as an active ion; indiumgaliumgarnet crystal as the main composition; and either one of yttrium, gadolinium and lanthanum as rare earth element. The producing process is not limited to any special one, but in general, the rare earth element gas as the materials comprising the main composition as well as the oxides of neodymium and chrome as the active ion are weighed and mixed at the moleratio of (3-x):2:(3-y):x:y to be heated and melted at the temperature exceeding the melting point for crystallization by pulling up process. |
