PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a photosensitive body by using an inexpensive base by successively providing a conductive layer contg. carbon particles, white pigment layer, electrostatic charge generating layer and charge transfer layer on the nonmetallic base. CONSTITUTION:The conductive layer 2, the white pigment layer 3, the charge generating layer 4 and the charge transfer layer 5 are laminated on the base 1. A pipe of a plastic or paper which is subjected to a surface treatment then to conducting treatment with a coating compd. contg. carbon black or with a conductive plastic or the like which is kneaded with carbon black and molded is used for the base body 1 and the layer 2. The light transmitted through the layers 5, 4 reflects irregularly on the surface of the layer 3, transmits again the layer 4 and arrives at the surface. The decrease of the sensitivity of the photosensitive body is, therefore, obviated and the reflected light is irregularly reflected by the pigment surface. Since there is no interference by a laser beam, no interference fringes are generated on a copied image. The cost of the photosensitive body is reduced by using the inexpensive base. |
