Motor intended for equipping electrical power stations, factories, workshops etc. It principally consists of a framework 1 upon which there rest two uprights 2 serving as a support for a cross member 3 on which there is articulated a balance bar 4 whose shaft rests on two bearings 5. At the two ends of the balance bar there is a reception pouch 6 equipped with a lock 7 which makes it possible momentarily to immobilise a spherical mass 8. Each half of the balance bar comprises, above a rolling path 13 formed by several articulated rails which rest on supports 14 and which, after raising, can be lowered back down and fold up without knocking by virtue of a hydraulic damper 17. A connecting rod 9 fixed at each end of the balance bar actuates: crankshaft 10, intermediate shafts 11 and flywheels 12 for recovering kinetic energy. The invention is intended particularly for driving an alternator. <IMAGE>
