PURPOSE:To shorten a test time and to provide an integrated circuit system with many functions by providing a means which selects respective function blocks and realizing the means which selects the function blocks as a control circuit in each function block independently. CONSTITUTION:The whole system is constituted as a circuit system consisting of several function blocks and provided with the means which selects the respective functions blocks independently and a means which converts a function block into a combinational circuit having no order when the function block is a sequential circuit. Then the function block selecting means is realized as a control circuit in each function block independently. Each function block consists of only a register circuit, only a combinational circuit, or both the register circuit and combinational circuit except a control circuit. Further, the register circuit performs latch operation or through operation under the control of the control circuit and the combinational circuit, on the other hand, inputs and processes only a necessary signal selectively among input signals to the combinational circuit under the control of the control circuit.
