A device suitable for cleaning wash basins, lavatory bowls, tubs, tiles and similar sanitary articles consists of a cup-like vessel in the base region of which a detergent reservoir is arranged. Into the cup-like vessel there is inserted, so as to be removable, a cleaning tool whose working surface is in contact with the detergent reservoir.
