The device is a combination of supporting surfaces consisting firstly of a rigid plate 1 made of carbon stiffened by a synthetic resin, then of a flexible gasket 2 made of synthetic resin covering an insulating and resistive dielectric honeycomb packing 3, and finally, as the base, a carbon plate 4 stiffened by a coating of synthetic resins. These superimposed elements are then assembled by adhesive bonding or by means of metallic spacing plates forming local supports. The device is intended to provide a base for sound reproduction equipment, such as hi-fi equipment, and for visual display equipment, such as computer VDUs, television sets or video equipment, in order to avoid disturbance due to vibration. <IMAGE>
