For the purpose of coupling an optical fibre in a detachable and reusable way to an optical transmitting or receiving element, a measuring instrument or the like, the mounts of the coupling elements are recessed in an upper part and in a lower carrier. An extremely accurate adjustment of the coupling elements is rendered possible by providing that the lower carrier is formed by a tube (R) arranged in a rigid block (BL), and that the tube (R) is pressed under elastic bias against the radially aligned transmission elements, which are arranged offset relative to one another in the circumferential direction, of two control elements (SE1, SE2) arranged in the block (BL). <IMAGE>
