In a hot-water buffer storage tank for a hot-water useful circuit 4, a first partial space 9 is connected via an opening 12 to a second partial space 10. A heating element 11 is arranged in the first partial space 9. The flow pipe 2 of the useful circuit 4 is connected to said heating element. The return 3 of the useful circuit 4 and a secondary circuit 13 heated by a second heat source are connected to the second partial space 10. In order that the electric heating element 11 and the secondary circuit 13 act as directly as possible on the useful circuit 4, the flow connection piece 16 of the secondary circuit 13 ends close to the opening 12 and is directed at it.
