A system for denitrating the exhaust gas from a coal fired rotary kiln (1). The kiln (1) is connected to a calciner (4) by a riser pipe (3) into which raw material is fed (2) from a suspension preheater system (5). A denitration burner (11) is located in the riser pipe (3) and injects powdered coal into the kiln (1) thereby causing the desired denitration reactions. |
