PURPOSE: To provide a needle threading device for a sewing machine which is equipment for assisting work for inserting a thread through the needle hole of a needle in the sewing machine, and which has a very simple structure.CONSTITUTION: A needle threading device for a sewing machine includes: a needle bar 6 which is supported on a sewing machine body so as to be vertically slidable, and to the tip of which a needle 7 having a needle hole 71 is fitted; a needle threading shaft member 8 which is movably supported in parallel with the needle bar 6 on the sewing machine body; a guide member A which is provided at the lower end of the needle threading shaft member 8 and guides a thread to the needle hole 71; and an air supply member B for supplying air to the guide member A. The guide member A includes: a guide passage part 2 in which a passage width gradually becomes narrower toward the needle hole 71 so as to guide the air supplied from the air supply member B to the needle hole 71, and an upper face is opened; and a needle accommodation part 3 which is formed so as to be continuous with the guide passage part 2 and sets the position of the needle hole 71. The thread inserted through the needle hole 71 and the needle after threading of the needle are separated via the opened upper face of the guide member A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
