PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can reduce the burden on a sheet and a sheet conveyance mechanism while suppressing increase in the size of a device body and increase in the conveyance speed.SOLUTION: A printer 1 comprises: a printing unit 3 which performs printing while conveying a sheet P at a printing conveyance speed; a circulation conveyance unit 4 which receives the sheet P after one-side printing from the printing unit 3 at the time of double-side printing and conveys the sheet P by reversing the front and rear of the sheet; and a sheet feeding unit 2 which re-feeds the sheet P after one-side printing conveyed by the circulation conveyance unit 4 to the printing unit 3. The circulation conveyance unit 4 includes: a reversing section 42 which receives the sheet P at the printing conveyance speed, reverses the front and rear of the sheet P by switching back, and accelerates the sheet P up to a circulation conveyance speed faster than the printing conveyance speed at the time of conveyance resumption after suspension by switching back; and a horizontal conveyance section 43 which conveys the sheet P switched back by the reversing section 42 at the circulation conveyance speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
