The invention relates to a turning machine (lathe) for the simultaneous internal and external machining especially of bundled piston rings. To allow adaptation to different piston-ring diameters, the boring-bar holder for internal machining is made up of replaceable modules. The boring-bar holder is designed to allow for the adjusting travel of the external cutter on the boring-bar holder. For different piston-ring diameters, different boring-bar holders are configured in such a way that the distance between the longitudinal axis of the locating hole for the boring bar and the rocker axis increases oppositely to the adjustment of the machining tools with increasing enlargement of the piston-ring diameter.
