The subject of the present invention is a torque limiter for a motorised reduction gear. It comprises a body 1, inside which there is arranged a screw 5 meshing with a helical toothed wheel 6 kinematically connected to the screw 5, and systems 9 and 25 for supporting the output spindle. The torque limiter is characterised in that the helical toothed wheel 6 is formed by a first surface 26 and a second surface 30 which interact respectively with a third surface 20 of the said spindle as well as with a fourth surface of a sheath 10 inside the said body and which is securely fastened to the spindle 7 by connection means 18 so as to transmit to the former a torsional moment having a predetermined value as a function of the axial load due to the elastic devices 31 housed in the said sheath. <IMAGE>
