In the case of a protective curtain for working places, the profiled rods (3, 4) of the mobile stand (1) have a helical cross-section with outwardly open grooves (6, 8). They are connected together by fastening angles (11) such that they can be easily dismantled, with the result that the stand (1) can be despatched in the dismantled state as a compact unit and can be assembled with ease. The arrangement of two rollers (5) on one side of the stand (1) and of one roller on the other side permits two protective curtains to be slid one inside the other such that, by the abutting curtain (10), total external protection is achieved. <IMAGE>
