The forces which act, in particular as a result of coarse material to be crushed, via the rotor hammers of a hammer crusher rotor, on the axle rods, and which occasionally lead to breakage of the axle rods, can be reduced or eliminated to a very large extent by a slot-like bearing bore in the rotor hammer, since, by this means, the rotor hammer can be displaced relative to the axle rod, that is to say yield, in the event of excessive counter-forces occurring.
