PURPOSE:To prevent the deviation of a paper due to a paper feeding to obtain a good image quality, by a method wherein; an end type thermal head and a plane platen to be used as a recording plane are employed and an image recording is conducted by feeding not a paper but feeding the thermal head during recording. CONSTITUTION:With the start of recording; a paper 3 is set on a plane platen 2, an ink film B is set to a first color, an end face type thermal head 1 which is provided with a plurality of heating elements aligned on the end face thereof moves down, and a feed gear 7 is rotated at a fixed speed by a motor 6 to shift a head carrier 11, then a thermal transfer recording is carried out. Thereafter, the paper 3 and the ink film B are separated by a peeling roller 8. After the completion of a thermal transfer recording of image data for the first color, the thermal head 1 moves up to a recording start position and simultaneously the ink film B is set to a second color. After that, thermal transfer recording of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th colors are successively carried out in a similar way to that of the 1st color, thus an image of good quality without color deviation can be obtained. |
