PURPOSE:To obtain the title platinum-alkenylsiloxane complex catalyst with invariable activity by dispersing a fine-particle hydrophilic silica and a platinum- alkenylsiloxane complex in a solvent, and controlling the acid strength in a specified range. CONSTITUTION:The platinum-alkenylsiloxane catalyst composition consists of 100pts.wt. organopolysiloxane, 1-100pts.wt. fine-particle hydrophilic silica, and 0.0001-100pts.wt. platinum-alkenylsiloxane. When the fine-particle hydrophilic silica and the platinum-alkenylsiloxane are dispersed in a nonpolar solvent, the acid strength of the dispersion is adjusted to 2.0-9.0pKa. Consequently, the platinum-alkenylsiloxane complex catalyst composition as the hydrosilylation catalyst wherein the catalyst of the platinum-alkenylsiloxane complex is not changed during preservation for a long period is obtained.
