发明名称 METHOD AND INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING END SURFACE ANGLE OF OPTICAL FIBER
摘要 PURPOSE:To easily take a high-accuracy measurement by a simple device by irradiating a screen with light projected from an end of an optical fiber to be measured through a transparent glass plate and measuring the distance between the center of a formed projection image and the center of a concentric interference image. CONSTITUTION:The end 1b of the optical fiber 1 to be measured is fixed to a fixed base 4 and the transparent glass plate 2 which has uniform thickness is provided at optional distance from the fixed base 4. Further, an image pickup device 3 which has the screen 3a is provided opposite the fixed base 4 across the glass plate 2. The glass plate 2 and screen 3a cross the axis of the optical fiber 1 at right angle. Then, the light projected from the end surface of the optical fiber 1 to be measured is projected on the screen 3a through the glass plate 2 and the distance between the center of the projection image formed on the screen 3a and the center of the concentric interference image formed on the screen 3a over said projection image is measured to calculate the end surface angle of the end of the optical fiber 1 to be measured from the obtained distance.
