PURPOSE:To accurately measure the degree of coloring without contacting and to automate the measurement of the degree of coloring by installing a luminance meter at specific distance from an aluminum shape material at a specific angle to the surface of the material. CONSTITUTION:The luminance meter 1 is used as measuring equipment, and the luminance meter 1 is installed at 10cm-2m distance from the aluminum shape material 3 at an angle of 90+ or -10 deg. to the surface of the aluminum shape material 3. Then, luminance measured by the luminance meter 1 is displayed digitally by a data processor and inputted to a host computer. When the measured value is within the range between an upper and a lower set value, the material is conveyed to a next process as it is, but when the measured value is lighter than the set value, a refeeding command is generated and a recoloring process is carried out.
