Optical fibre connector having a socket end and a plug-in end, and in which the following are provided: - a centering member, - an optical fibre which extends into the centering body from the socket end, it being the case that the centering body has on the side of the plug-in end a first section with a first outside diameter and, adjacent thereto, a second section (centering section) with an outside diameter which is smaller by comparison with the first outside diameter, - a guide sleeve which is arranged on the centering section and has an outside diameter which approximately corresponds to the first outside diameter, and - latching means for anchoring the guide sleeve on the centering member.
