<p>A thermal fuse comprising an insulative tubular case (1), two lead wires (L1,L2), a lead wire separating tool (2), an electrode plate (3) consisting of two conductive metal plates (3A,3B) deposited with fusible alloy (4) which fuses at a preset temperature and an elastic body (5) which presses said electrode plate. When the fusible alloy fuses at the preset temperature, said elastic body (5) is released from a state of compression and its top end portion becomes inserted into a cavity (22) of the lead wire separating tool, whereby one end of each of the conductive metal plates (3A,3B) is released from contact with its respective lead wire (L1 ,L2) and the electric circuit between the lead wires is thus opened.</p> |
