The present invention relates to an arrangement for fitting out the interior of a habitable vehicle, especially a sailing boat, including at least one cabin with a double berth. It is characterised in that the said berth includes two complementary berth elements, one 20 fixed and the other 21, called the conversion element, capable of being mounted, in the cabin 10, in two positions: in a first position, the conversion element is mounted beside the fixed element and forms with the latter the double berth, whereas, in the second position, the conversion element is shifted so that each berth element forms an independent berth. <IMAGE>
