The pin (1) retains components on a shaft (18) and has a head (3) with two through holes with parallel axes. The holes receive the ends of a sprung bracket (8) which is so shaped that it encircles the shaft and its mid-portion presses resiliently on the protruding end of the pin. The holes in the pin head are tapered to facilitate the insertion of the ends of the bracket. The taper also reduces friction, thus ensuring that the resilience of the bracket is sufficient to keep it pressed against the pin. |
