In a case for the safe-keeping and carrying of a data carrier, such as a cheque card or the like having an insertion compartment for said data carrier and having a viewing window which provides a view onto the essential data, the back element of the case facing away from the viewing side is constructed as a rigid base plate, and a spring clip attached to the edge region of the base plate is arranged on the side of said base plate facing away from the insertion compartment, by means of which clip a further card-like or sheet-like object can be pressed against the base plate and thus fixed releasably thereon.
