Injection timing adjuster

Injection timing adjuster (33), which is actuated by an eddy-current brake (38) and acts on an adjusting device (46). The angle adjustment between injection pump (2) and the injection pump drive is performed inside the adjusting device (46) by means of control cams, which have a helical lobe curve with linear rise. The lead of the helix is designed so that self-locking occurs. In this way the injection timing adjuster (33) can be adjusted only through actuation by the eddy-current brake (38) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
