<p>A mulching film which comprises a reflective film layer having a reflective peak at a wavelength of less than 0.4 mu m and a reflective spectrum with a ratio RA/RB of not less than 1.4 wherein RA is the ultraviolet peak reflectance and RB is the visible light reflectance at a wavelength of 0.5 mu m and a black film layer, which is effective for repelling insects harmful to various crops and other plants by covering the ground of plantation and for lowering the underground temperature and also for the prevention of the propagation of weeds.</p>
