Arrangement for adjusting the jaws of a power-operated chuck arranged on a work spindle which can be driven for rotation, with a rotating chuck body, a rotating power-transmission member (16) connected to the jaws, and a rotating spring energy accumulator (18) for storing the chucking force, which spring energy accumulator (18) is supported on the spindle (14) via a first component and on the power-transmission member via a second component, at least one of these components (36/38; 21/-27/33) being variable in length in the axial direction for adaptation to different chucking diameters and chucking forces, and also an actuating device for loading the spring energy accumulator and for carrying out the length adaptation, the actuating device comprising a non-rotating drive unit (44) which has at least one axially movable driving member (53) which can be coupled to a rotating component (21, 36) for loading the spring energy accumulator, and a separate regulating mechanism (36/38/-40/74-86; 41/27/23/25/29/31) being provided for the length adaptation. <IMAGE>
