发明名称 PREPARATION OF LIQUID CRYSTAL ELECTRO-OPTIC DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To permit formation of a spacing between two oriented films to a specified spacing within a prescribed thickness range by printing an org. adhesive agent to the prescribed part on the surface of one substrate to a prescribed height and forming a spacer and outside peripheral sealing part having an arbitrary shape. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes for a liquid crystal are formed of a light transparent conductive film 2 on one face of the substrate 1 and a polyimide resin 3 is thinly formed atop said film and is subjected to an orientation treatment by a rubbing treatment. The other substrate 1' is also subjected similarly to the formation of the light transparent conductive film 2' and the orientation treatment 3'. The epoxy adhesive agent is then printed on one substrate 1 by using an intaglio printing device to form the spacer and outside peripheral seal 9. After the epoxy adhesive agent 16 is coated to an intaglio printing original plate 13 inscribed with the prescribed pattern, the unnecessary adhesive agent 16 is removed so that the adhesive agent 14 remains only in the recesses of the intaglio printing original plate. The adhesive agent 14 in the recesses is then transferred to a roll for transfer under rotation in contact with the original plate 13 and is further transferred to the substrate 1, by which the spacer and outside peripheral seal 9 are formed.
