In a method for ventilating a room fitted with at least one heating element in the form of a radiator or the like, outside air is mixed, via an air inlet leading to the outside from the room, in the region of the heating element below its top edge with the room air flowing over the heating element. In addition, the room air and/or the outside air is blown, in the direction corresponding to the natural convection, through or past the heating element by means of a fan. This is intended to prevent any marked drop in room temperature occurring even during ventilation of the room.
