The charge in signals from a RAM (1) is monitored (21) and a control unit (22) writes the data of the RAM (1) into a trace buffer (2). A signal trace is executed for predetermined addresses (A and B) of the RAM (1). When there is any change monitored for the signals, the data stored in the addresses (A and B) are written in the trace buffer (2) at the address (04) following the last one. The address in the trace buffer comes back to the top after it reaches the bottom to form a continuous ring.
