Holding elements for tool sheets, in particular grinding or polishing discs (wheels), provide, depending on the size of load, for clamping in of the tool sheets on the one hand and for adhesive bonding on the other hand, the former permitting greater force transmission and the latter being easier to carry out. The invention makes it possible to design a holding element such that it provides for the clamping in of tool sheets but, after connection of an attachment plate, also allows adhesive application of tool sheets suitable therefor.
