Process for the shaping, filling and closing of a folding box made from a cardboard blank consisting of four essentially rectangular portions, by a) making a star-shaped score in the inner faces of the two portions forming the end walls, a first score line extending centrally through the respective end wall from its top edge as far as a point adjacent to, but at a distance from the respective dustflap, a second score line extending from one of the lower corners of the portions forming the end walls as far as the particular point, and a third score line extending from the other of the lower corners of the portions forming the end wall to the particular point, b) the end walls formed after the shaping of the folding box are folded in the direction of one another along their first score line, c) the upper regions of the first portion forming the front wall and the second portion forming the rear wall are moved towards one another along the first score line to form an inward-pointing notching of the end walls, and d) the cover flap is folded round the rear wall now resting against the front wall, is pressed onto the rear wall and is thus adhesively bonded to the latter.
