The holder has a rectangular casing containing a drawer in which the cassette or disc sits, a spring forcing the drawer outwards, and a lock keeping the drawer in. The lock has a separate coupling that rotates and/or slides in the drawer or casing but not in the direction of sliding. Control faces on the casing or drawer guide the coupling between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position the coupling is directly or indirectly engaging the casing or drawer. In the unlocked position the drawer is free to move.
