Method for determining trace elements, in particular metals, in capillary samples, comprising the following operations: taking of the capillary samples, washing the samples, drying the washed samples, weighing the dry samples, treating the samples with an acidic extraction solution in order to obtain solutions of the samples, pressing the sample solutions through a plasma emission spectrophotometer in order to determine the trace element contents of the respective samples. This method makes it possible to detect possible excesses or deficiencies of trace elements in the body.
