An apparatus for removing juice from fruits, including a tank 1 into which the fruits are introduced at the top part whilst the juice is recovered in its bottom part, as well as an endless screw (worm) 8 for working the fruits. In order to make the tank 1 gastight, it is closed at the top part and includes, there, a hatch 2 for loading the fruits which is equipped with sealing means. The apparatus is used particularly for macerating grapes and extracting their juice. <IMAGE>
