PURPOSE:To effect delicate acceleration and deceleration speed control and to cope with requirements for a high speed and pinpoint accuracy, by setting a most proper acceleration and deceleration speed pattern on a table and by controlling an acceleration and deceleration speed based on the table when a machine is in operation. CONSTITUTION:A table 13 is attached to an NC device so that any acceleration and deceleration speed pattern can be set. When a machine is in operation, an acceleration and deceleration speed can be controlled based on the table 13. Therefore, even a time constant equivalent to a conventional method can be commanded by a speed pattern which does not give a shock to the machine because any arbitrary shape can be set to the table defining the acceleration and deceleration pattern. This enables truly proper speed control and reduces locus errors even at a high speed.
