In an integrated circuit device having a lateral transistor, the lateral transistor comprises a semiconductor zone of the conduction type of the collector zone of the lateral transistor. The semiconductor zone surrounds the collector zone of the lateral transistor at least partially. The semiconductor zone of the conduction type of the collector zone is connected in an electrically conducting manner to the emitter of an amplifier transistor connected to the output of the lateral transistor, or to a current detector.
