PURPOSE:To easily change the number of generated data at the time of program execution by uniting processings, which generate progression in accordance with two data of start data and the difference value of progression elements, into one function. CONSTITUTION:A subtracter 12 which subtracts the difference value from start data held in an input register 10, an identifier changing circuit 14 which changes the value of an identifier, a control circuit 11 which controls selection and change at intervals of two clocks in accordance with the value of start data held in the input register 10, and an output register 15 which output data of a multiplexer 13 and the identified outputted from the circuit 14 are inputted and are outputted to the outside are provided. Data resulting from subtraction outputted to the outside is inputted as start data to the input register 10 if the identifier outputted to the outside indicates that data resulting from subtraction is not the final start data, and this processing is repeated to generate arithmetic progression having an optional number of generated data in accordance with two data. Thus, the number of generated data is easily changed even at the time of program execution.
