PURPOSE:To rapidly and automatically close a rubber stop even if the rubber stop itself has caused a crack, by a method wherein the bottom of the rubber stop of an ink cartridge device is so shaped as to angularly extend into an ink tank and the outer surface of the bottom is shaped to be recessed to make the center portion of the bottom smaller in wall thickness than the peripheral portion thereof. CONSTITUTION:Fitting of an open portion 31 of a cartridge case 25 into a recessed portion 34 of a carriage 10 leads a hollow needle 35 to be guided by a truncated cone-form recessed portion 33b of a rubber stop 33 to be put into the center of a bottom 33a thereof. When the lower end of the hollow needle 35 is opened by a valve sheet, an ink 27 in an ink tank 26 is fed into a main ink tank 14 through the hollow needle 35. Because the bottom 33a of the rubber stop 33 extends into the ink tank 26 in protruded form, the internal pressure of the ink in the ink tank 26 is always applied toward the center of the bottom 33a. Additionally, the center portion of the bottom 33a, having a thin thickness, increases the internal pressure of the ink. |
