PURPOSE:To designate a required read picture data only and to image the data by designating an optional range required on a display screen of a read picture data by a display means, and imaging and outputting only the picture data displayed within the designated range. CONSTITUTION:A read picture data written in a picture data memory 60 is displayed on a display section 10b via a display RAM 63 and a display control section 64. A positioning line for designating the print range displayed on the display section 10b together with the read picture data is moved by the key operation by a key input section and the control is executed by a display control section 51 from a key and switch 54 via a control section 51, a data edition execution section 65 and a positioning line display control section 66. Then an optional range is designated among the read picture data written in the picture data memory 60, edited in the edit data memory 67 so as to only the picture data within the designated range, then a copy picture extracting only the required picture data from all read picture data is obtained.
