PURPOSE:To reduce composite unbalance after assembling by also carrying out the correcting machining of the unbalance of mass not only measuring the unbalance of mass with respect to the rotating center of each assembly. CONSTITUTION:Suppose that there is the unbalance of mass as shown by the vector X as the result of measuring the unbalance of mass with respect to the rotating center P of a propeller shaft assembly 1. By giving correcting machining to this unbalance, a predetermined defined magnitude of a vector Z on a reference angle line (a) which is the closest to the vector X is defined as the target vector after correcting. In this case, as can be seen from the vector chart, by newly producing the unbalance of mass as shown by the vector Y, the composite vector of the vectors X and Y can be made agree with the target vector Z.
