In a real-time on-board system there is provided a server 10 linked by couplers such as 12 and 14 to digital buses such as 13 and 15. The controller 10 is linked to a mass memory 11 which is directly addressable, such as a backed-up random-access memory, or else an electrically erasable and programmable memory.
