PURPOSE:To suppress the decomposition loss of electrolyte, stabilize the cell performance for a long time, and firmly prevent the leakage of reaction gas and the like, by using mixed gas comprising nitrogen and carbon dioxide as an atmospheric gas flowing in a containment. CONSTITUTION:Carbon dioxide with a high partial pressure is present in a containment 4 of fused carbonate fuel cell, and, consequently, the fused carbonate does not decompose by the reaction. It, therefore, suppresses a decrease in fused carbonate, resulting in long-term stabilization of the cell performance and prevention from reaction gas leakage and cross-contamination. |
