The spirally-shaped stirrer may be removed via one of the cylindrical vessel ends, and at its other end the stirrer is rotated by a motor located outside the vessel, and sepd. from it by a sealing gable (16). The motor shaft (20) is rotatably located outside the vessel, and the shaft (7) of the stirrer running coaxially with the motor shaft extends with one end outside of the vessel through an aperture (17) in the sealing wall. The motor shaft and the end of the stirrer shaft are coupled to one another by a removable unit comprising two cones and a wedge. The motor shaft is also rotatably fitted in a ball bearing (19) at a distance from the sealing gable, and a plate (26) is fitted on the motor shaft between the ball bearing and the aperture in the gable. |
