The arrangement for the regulation of engine drive power has drive slip protection. It contains a booster piston (54) which boosts the pressure exerted by the accelerator pedal (30) on a push rod connected to the engine throttle valve (46) through a piston rod (44). On the piston rod is a piston (84) supported by a spring (102) on the booster piston and limiting a regulation chamber (85) which is supplied through a magnetic valve arrangement (90,92) with pressure from a booster pump (P) to override the pressure from the accelerator pedal during over fast acceleration or deceleration. USE/ADVANTAGE - Vehicle throttle control unit provides damping for the throttle valve in an inexpensive, compact unit.
