<p>A treadmill (5) is mounted in the central cavity of a unitary base unit (14) which has a peripheral trough (32). Sidewall panels (15 and 16) and end panels (17 and 18) bolt to the base unit. Strips of resilient gasket material are interposed between the panels to assure a watertight seal. One end panel (18) has an inward-opening door (2) with a gasket strip (62) engageable against a narrow inward-projecting lip (63) of the doorframe, hinges (64, 65, 66), and locking mechanism (59, 60). Water for the exercise tank can be stored in interconnected modular storage tanks or receptacles (10) with one-way pumps (75) for filling and draining the exercise tank. An emergency switch (93, 94, 95) connected to the user can be provided for emergency automatic draining of the tank.</p> |
